Sports & Education Programs

Carlisle Academy is thrilled to offer students an array of programs suited to their current and future riding goals. Directed by the enthusiastic instructors, able-bodied riders and riders with disabilities who are seeking a competitive track or recreational learning will find many opportunities within our Sports & Education Programs.

Options include:

Traditional Riding Lessons

Traditional Riding Lessons are provided by trained instructors specializing in traditional equestrian education. 1 hour private lessons and 1.5 hour semi-private lessons, inclusive of grooming and tacking time, have a dressage and eventing focus and always involve elements of fun. Traditional riding lessons require riders to be independent of horse handlers and side-walking support.

Para-Equestrian Lesson

Para-Equestrian Lessons provides the independent rider with disabilities a competitive track sanctioned by the US Para-Equestrian Association to compete at recognized regional and national horse shows. Lessons are offered as 1 hour privates by PATH Intl. instructors with an additional specialty in para-dressage. Para-Equestrian lessons require riders to be independent of horse handlers and side-walking support.

Integrative Competitive Teams

Integrative Competitive Teams
Team Carlisle (formerly Team Equest) is a fun and inclusive program designed to create friendly competition, team spirit, and an opportunity for both adaptive and recreational riders to work together. In addition to showcasing each rider’s skills at Carlisle Academy’s Fun Show, two additional inter-barn competitions are planned.
