Beauty’s Curriculum

Beauty and Equest’s professional staff will provide a unique and educational therapeutic equine experience, off the farm. Children and adults with special needs can learn about horse safety, horsemanship, and the benefits horses provide with specially designed age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Whether the need is a preschool, elementary, middle or high school classroom, or elder group, Beauty would be glad to visit and teach more about what she and her friends do for the world. Participants will delight in Beauty’s appearance and behavior as she has the ability to stir the remarkable bond between human and animal. This program is a fee-for-service* and is available for a maximum of one and a half hours, as well as a series of four visits that provides progressive skills instruction. We are happy to customize our visits and curriculum to meet specific needs. The Equest staff accompanying Beauty include a NARHA certified therapeutic riding instructor as well as a professional trained horse handler.

Goals of Program:

  • Provide opportunities to experience the benefits of therapeutic equine activities.
  • Provide physical science and social science education to the community.
